Mallorca, Spain: the adventurous side!

I love sports that can be enjoyed in the great outdoors, surrounded by nature so I was over the moon that our first full day of the blog trip would be spent trekking in the Tramuntana Mountain Range a (UNESCO world heritage site) which runs 90KM along the entire Northwestern coast of the island. About an hours drive from the seaside resort of Soller, we commenced our day trek with a warm welcome from the donkeys who were ready and waiting for us at the entrance to the Park.

First woman to summit all 14 major peaks

GERLINDE KALTENBRUNNER SETS CLIMBING RECORD
Reaching the top of K2 on her fourth attempt, Gerlinde Kaltenbrunner, a 40-year-old Austrian alpinist who resides in Germany, has become the first woman to summit all 14 of the world’s 8,000-meter peaks without using supplementary oxygen. Kaltenbrunner reached the top of K2, Earth’s second-tallest mountain, at 6:18 p.m. (local time) Tuesday, Aug. 23.
