Out of this world experience at Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia

The salt is over 10 meters thick in the center. In the dry season, the salt planes are a completely flat expanse of dry salt. In the wet season when we were there, it’s covered with a thin sheet of water that sits on the surface creating the strangest landscape you’ll ever see!

  1. I can tell you it blew our minds! We had considered not going because it was flooded. But as you can see the water made the experience even better! If you ever get a chance to visit Bolivia it's a must see.

  2. I would highly recommend it! Just be careful which tour company you book through in Uyuni. We've heard some horror stories; everything from drunken drivers to the jeeps getting stuck in the waterlogged parts of the salt flats!
