The UK’s No.1 show for outdoor pursuits, The Outdoors Show, returns to ExCeL, London from 12 – 15 January 2012. The show provides a fantastic opportunity to buy all the latest clothing and equipment at great prices, as well as offering FREE have a go attractions, special guest speakers and more.

With your Outdoors Show ticket including entry to The Active Travel Show, The London Bike Show and the Tullett Prebon London Boat Show, the event offers a great value day out for the whole family.

Top experts and celebrities from the worlds of walking, photography, bird watching, climbing, and more will be speaking at The Outdoors Show on the Motorola Main Stage. There’s something for every outdoor enthusiast with the likes of Kev Reynolds, Paddy Dillon, Cameron McNeish and David Lindo all sharing their experiences on this stage. Plus the Ramblers WALK Award which will be presented by Janet Street Porter.

A visit to The Finlandia Vodka Travel & Adventure Stage is a must at the show. Here visitors will be able to listen to a wide range of explorers, from Shipwreck Hunter David Mearns to World record breaking adventurers Richard Parks and Ed Stafford, as well as catching the latest highlights from The Banff Mountain Film Festival. Also confirmed to speak on the opening day of the show is presenter, writer and adventurer Ben Fogle.

Over the past 11 years thousands of people have had their first taste of climbing and many other outdoor activities at The Outdoors Show. The 2012 show will have a climbing offering like never before, The Climbing Village, which will feature a wide range of walls suitable for everyone from complete beginners to accomplished climbers.

The show has also teamed up with tree-top adventure company Go Ape, to bring the 150 metre Go Ape Zipwire to the show, an absolute “must-do” for all adventure lovers. It will give visitors the chance to experience the fun and excitement of a high adrenaline, high level activity like all those available at the many Go Ape centres near London and UK wide.

Maverick Slacklines will be joining us this year at the show to introduce the challenging and addictive balance sport of slacklining. A team of professionals representing the UK slacklining community will perform demonstrations and visitors can test their core strength, flexibility and coordination by having a go at balancing on the long stretch of elastic themselves.

With retailers, brands, specialist photography holiday companies, guest photographers and more, The Photography Village will be fantastic for all photography enthusiasts. Expert photographers Andy Rouse and Joe Cornish will present their first joint exhibition, Outer Visions in association with Paramo Directional Clothing, where their latest and most impressive work will be on display.

There will also be the chance to visitors to meet and greet top UK photographers, as well as being able to listen to travel, wildlife and landscape photography talks on the main stage. Speakers and experts include Joe Cornish, Colin Prior, Andy Rouse, Charlie Waite and Tom Mackie.

Returning to The Outdoors Show in 2012 is the FoodLoversBritain.com Farmers Market, which offers a delicious range of local foods, perfect to help keep you fuelled on your next outdoors adventure.

For a more international flavour, the Globe Taste Experience allows visitors to try six beers or six wines from some of the best breweries and vineyards across the world, courtesy of Beer Boutique and Virgin Wines.
