I made this video while working on a project promoted by the tourism board of Italian Southern region Basilicata. I live abroad since many years and this short experience allowed me to plunge into old memories of my childhood in Basilicata.
Experiencing once again those memories was like finding a dusty box full of old Super 8 films in an attic. From exactly this idea, somehow romantic and trivial at the same time, I moved to assemble a travel story which is quite far – I believe – from the genre’s usual standards.
My name is Mauro, born 1981. I like to think of myself as a traveller both physical and spiritual. Since 2009 I live in Berlin, Germany, where beside my daily job for a merchandising company I work on producing and editing videos.
