What to do in two days on a bike in Trentino, Italy? The tourism board of Rovereto guided us through its well shaped tracks, to discover the town, the nature and the flavours of this idillic corner.
The first leg of our journey took us to Cantina Mori, after crossing the huge vineyards so typical of this land and reaching the Garda Lake, where the track continues along the shore.
Unfortunately the time was running fast and soon we were heading to Arco, just a few kilometres from Riva del Garda. Here we left our bikes to the dedicated service which would have brought them back to our hotel and readied them for the next day. As for us, we got back by bus and had a wonderful dinner at the hotel.
After a well deserved night of sleep, we woke up to a healthy breakfast and got ready to reach Trento. Our track led us along the river Adige and swiftly entered directly in town.
On the road we noticed the many rest stop for bikers, but that day our lunch was a courtesy of the Grigoletti family: excellent food with superb wine, skilfully obtained in the wonderful and intimate cellar dedicated to the generations which devoted their efforts to this noble activity.
To leave after tasting so many gorgeous tastes was not an easy task, but the wine we drunk inspired us and in no time we were back on our saddles.
After a one hour ride we arrived in Trento, in the charming area hosting the science museum MUSE. The museum’s staff guided us through its history and treasures. I wish we had more time to enjoy them but once again we had to hurry and got back on our way towards Rovereto, through the 25 kilometre track connecting it with Trento.
