Take a Drive around Mallorca Travel Tips

Mallorca is the largest of the Balearic Islands which include: Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera. A great place to visit for the entire family, Mallorca has a wide variety of things to do almost every day of the year.

The capital of the island is La Palma, one of the most visited locations in Mallorca. Being a coastal location, you will discover an array of restaurants to enjoy local cuisines such as the Ensaimada Mallorquina, a sweet pastry made on the island and fresh fish dishes. If you prefer a bit of retail therapy, be sure to visit the city centre, Paseo del Borne.

For those who like sporting activities, Serra Tramuntana is the place to go, full of natural landscapes or Cabrera for its wildlife and a great family outing.

Part of Mallorca’s charm being an island, is its picturesque playas and calas. Surrounded by greenery, crystal waters and white sand, it is a must see when visiting the area.

Rent a car from Avis and drive around the main coastlines. Start your trip off at La Palma and continue to Campos, only 24 miles away, host to one of the most beautiful beaches in the area, Es Trenc.

Other beaches include Cala d’or, Cala Millor to the north and Alcudia Bay to name a few.

In full, Mallorca is an island brimming with sites, activities and natural beauty, a definite visit for the summer.
